[OTTAWA, ON] – January 9, 2025 – The Shooting Federation of Canada (SFC) announces the resignation of Jasmine Northcott from her position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 31, 2025.
Jasmine led the organization, contributing to the betterment of the Federation and target shooting sports in Canada for the past 2 years. During her tenure Jasmine led the organization in achieving significant milestones in financial management, new governance structures, strategic planning, operationalization and communications planning.
In her resignation, effective January 31, 2025, Jasmine expressed that this decision was not made lightly and that she was deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead this remarkable organization and to work alongside such a dedicated and talented Board, staff and community.

This community warmly welcomed me into the fold, and I am truly grateful to all the wonderful individuals I have had the privilege to work for and with during my time with the Federation. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Board, the staff, our Committees & Councils, and the SFC community for their passion, dedication and unwavering support and collaboration. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together, have full confidence in the future of the Federation, and will remain an ardent champion and supporter of the SFC,” says CEO Jasmine Northcott.
The SFC Board extends their sincere thanks to Jasmine for her leadership, time and commitment to the target shooting sports in Canada and wishes her all the best in her future endeavours.
The Board agrees that Jasmine came into this role as CEO with the desire to set us on the path of our new governance structure, better aligning us with our funding partners. She set in motion the strategic planning and operational changes that will help guide the Federation leadership, and additionally, she has been instrumental in developing a plan to increase the awareness of target shooting sports in the next decade in Canada. She brought a fresh perspective to our sport with an open, thoughtful leadership that allowed our membership to be heard and allowed the Board to better serve the membership’s desires, resulting in some progressive changes. She leaves us in a much better place than we were two years ago.
