The resources on this page are designed to support athletes who are part of SFC’s High Performance Program, as well as those working toward future selection.
Athlete Intake
As part of the annual Athlete Intake process for the SFC High Performance Program, athletes that wish to join the program are required to formally express their interest for the upcoming season. This process typically begins toward the end of the preceding year, when SFC issues a call inviting eligible athletes to submit an Expression of Interest for the following year. All eligible athletes are then assessed and ranked based on their performance and in accordance with the selection criteria outlined in the SFC Selection Policies. Invitations to the National, Development, Junior, or Identified (ID) athlete streams are then made based on these rankings.
Once invited to join the program, all athletes are required to sign an Athlete Agreement that clearly outlines the expectations, roles, and responsibilities of both the athlete and the Shooting Federation of Canada.
2026 SFC Program Plans and Athlete Gap Analysis Frameworks
The Yearly Training Plan (YTP) and Gap Analysis Framework are tools designed to help athletes plan, track, and reflect on their training and competition priorities over a 12-month period. Used together, they support athletes in identifying performance strengths and gaps, aligning daily training and competition plans with SFC’s High Performance objectives, and taking ownership of their development in partnership with their personal coach.
A User Guide is included to provide step-by-step instructions on how to complete and use these tools effectively
