Shooting Federation of Canada is honoured to work with athletes to ensure Canada is well represented at major games throughout the world in all recognized target shooting disciplines.
The Shooting Federation of Canada (SFC) selects or nominates athletes to represent Canada at Major Games, including the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Pan American Games, Parapan American Games, ISSF and WSPS World Championships, Championships of the Americas, Youth Olympic Games and Youth Pan American Games.
For each event, SFC publishes specific qualification pathways, performance benchmarks, and timelines that reflect the level of competition, quota or medal opportunities, and available team positions. Decisions are based on performance standards using the process outlined in Major Games Selection Criteria.
All selections are made in accordance with SFC policies, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, and subject to applicable international federation, Canadian Olympic Committee, Canadian Paralympic Committee, and Games Organizing Committee requirements.
