The Shooting Federation of Canada is committed to being part of the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP).
Through the program, Sport Integrity Canada independently administers the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) for federally funded, national-level sport organizations by receiving and responding to allegations of prohibited behaviour, and by developing and carrying out education, prevention, and policy activities.
The CSSP clearly and publicly set out procedures for the reporting process. The CSSP also offers support services to connect participants with help along the way.

How to report concerns related to the UCCMS and designated participants
Situations involving an individual directly linked to Shooting Federation of Canada (Staff, Board, Committee Members, Athletes, Athlete Support Personnel and any registered national level Officials)
Individuals above have been asked to agree to be CSSP Participants and are subject to the process created by Sport Canada and Sport Integrity Canada should there be an allegation of breaches of the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) for these individuals.
If the situation involves someone in any capacity who may fall under the umbrella of this system, the complaint should go directly to Sport Integrity Canada.
They accept reports through an online report form and by phone – both methods allow you to remain anonymous if you wish. If you choose to share your name when you make a report, they will not share it with your sport organization unless it is necessary to keep you or someone else safe and will make every effort to get your consent beforehand.

Safe Sport is a collective responsibility. By reporting concerns of maltreatment in sport, you are contributing to building a safer sport environment.

Have Other Concerns?
Reporting is critical in creating and maintaining a safe environment for all shooting participants. Independent third-party complaints management is a key component of Canada’s Safe Sport Movement, driven Sport Canada.
For situations in shooting sports in Canada outside of the above designated participants, SFC has appointed an Independent Third Party who any participant can contact to discuss incidents of maltreatment or misconduct.
Individuals who are experiencing, or are aware of, any forms of maltreatment or misconduct, including a breach of the Code of Conduct or any policy, should contact the SFC’s Independent Third Party: ITP Sport is available by using the online form 24/7/365or toll-free by dialling 1-866-921-6714.
Situations such as these can be challenging for everyone involved. We encourage people to seek support. See our Mental Health Resources and strategy here.
